Your progress is automatically tracked in your dashboard. You can view your learning streak, phrases mastered, and proficiency level, all updated as you practise.
Your streak counts each consecutive day you open the app and keep learning. Practise at least once a day to keep it growing — miss a day and it resets to one, so a little every day goes a long way!
On the login page, tap Forgot your password? and enter your email. We'll send you a secure link — open it and choose a new password. The link is valid for one hour and can only be used once. If you signed up with Google, just use the Sign in with Google button instead; there's no password to reset.
Yes — tap the blue speaker button on any phrase card (in Browse, the daily phrase, or during Practice) to hear it spoken aloud by a real Greek local. A few rare "hidden gem" expressions have no audio yet.
Real people. Every phrase is recorded by real Greek locals — not a robotic text-to-speech voice. That means you hear the authentic pronunciation, rhythm and intonation exactly the way it's spoken on the street, so you learn to sound like a local rather than a textbook. This is what sets YassouGreece apart from typical language apps.
Saved (tap the gold save button — the star fills in) bookmarks a phrase so you can revisit or practise just those. Mastered (green cap) marks ones you already know — they count toward your level and progress. You can filter Browse by either.
Here's the quick legend for the buttons on a phrase:
- Speaker — hear the phrase spoken aloud.
- Save button — the gold circle saves a phrase to revisit later; the star fills in once it's saved.
- Graduation cap — mark a phrase as mastered (turns green); it counts toward your level.
- Eye — in Practice, tap the eye to reveal the answer (Greek, pronunciation and meaning).
- Lock — a premium phrase; unlock the full library to open it.
The starter set of phrases is free forever. Unlocking the entire library is a one-time 3.22 CHF payment — no subscription. Once unlocked, it stays unlocked on your account for good. You are charged in your own currency; the exact amount is shown before you pay.
Every phrase across every category unlocks instantly — with audio, full Practice decks, and the ability to save and master any phrase. The daily phrase is always free for everyone.
Yes! YassouGreece is a Progressive Web App. Open Settings → Install App from the account menu, or use your browser's "Add to Home Screen" option, to launch it like a native app.
Open Settings → your profile and tap Delete my account. You'll be asked to confirm twice (it's permanent), then your account is removed and you're signed out. You can also email us at yassougreece2024@gmail.com and we'll do it for you.
Deleting your account permanently removes your profile (name, nickname, country, languages), your saved and mastered phrases, and your progress and streak. Your anonymous usage analytics are anonymised (no longer linked to you). Payment records held by Paddle are kept only as long as the law requires. This exercises your GDPR/Swiss FADP right to erasure. See our Privacy Policy for details.
We collect your account details (email, name, and optional nickname/country/languages), your learning progress, and — only with your consent — anonymous usage analytics. Your password is stored only as a secure hash. We use a few trusted providers to run the service: Paddle (payments), Google (if you sign in with Google), and Railway (hosting). We never sell your data. Full detail is in the Privacy Policy.
Premium is a one-time digital purchase delivered immediately. If you were charged in error, it doesn't work as described, or you're not satisfied, email us within 14 days at yassougreece2024@gmail.com and we'll review it — refunds are issued via Paddle. See the full Refund Policy.
Payments are processed by Paddle under our trading name omoio.ai, so your bank or card statement may show "omoio.ai" or "Paddle" rather than "YassouGreece". That's the correct charge for your premium unlock — nothing to worry about.
